Established in 1967, the City of Lake Buena Vista jurisdiction is approximately 3 square miles located in southwest Orange County. The original name was the City of Reedy Creek but in 1969 was renamed to the City of Lake Buena Vista. The Disney Springs retail, dining and entertainment complex, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, Disney’s Lake Buena Vista Golf Course and several resort hotels are located with the City limits. The City of Bay Lake is located within the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District.
